One man died and another was charged with DUI after a two-vehicle crash in Hampton Saturday night.
Hampton Police responded to the intersection of Magruder Boulevard and Hampton Roads Center Parkway around 10:42 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash. When they arrived officers found 53-year-old George Edward Neselrod Jr. of Hampton suffering from life-threatening injuries. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to Hampton Police Sergeant Jason Price, Neselrod was driving southbound on Magruder Blvd in a Ford Escort when the car crashed into a Ford Explorer, driven by 49-year-old Lennie Bulonza Perry, who was turning left from the northbound lanes of Magruder Blvd. on to Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
Police charged Lennie Perry with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol third or subsequent offense and more charges are expected to filed. He remains in custody at Hampton City Jail.
